The Other Side (2019)

The vast majority of Plane Station’s debut album, The Other Side, was recorded live in the studio, with little more than an acoustic guitar and Nick and Brianna Chiapparino’s trademark harmonies. The stripped down nature of this record perfectly compliments the duo’s deeply personal approach to songwriting. Together these elements make for an intimate listening experience that leaves the impression of having been in the room while the songs were performed.

7th Street (2021)

The recording process for Plane Station’s second LP was well underway when the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown forced them to take a months long hiatus from the studio. Finally, well over a year after they began recording, 7th Street was released on May 6th, 2021. The ten tracks are broad and varied, this time with as many big choruses as intimate acoustic moments. Themes of time, growing up and accepting change are present throughout most of the record, never more so than on tracks like Stepping Stone, My Parents Place and The End. Brianna and Nick split both writing duties and lead vocals on 7th Street, each giving the other space to express their unique style but always coming back to their trademark harmonies.

Art or Content (2023)

Art or Content is Plane Station’s third album. Featuring singles Keep Me Grounded, Time After Time and The River. It was recorded at Woodside Studio in Peekskill, NY with longtime collaborator Jesse Melito. The title track ruminates on creativity and motivation in the age of endless social media content. Are artists creating music that’s meaningful and fulfilling or are they racing to create the next viral TikTok? Tracks like Honey and Sedona Song are finger picked folk tunes that get to the heart of what Plane Station’s sound is all about. While Heavy as Stone feels like a 70’s era acoustic rocker, reminiscent of some of Led Zeppelin’s folkier endeavors. My Mess is a synth driven ballad about the struggle of loving someone who doesn’t love themselves. This eclectic batch of songs comes together seamlessly on Art or Content.
